Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Payments
A:  Cash Only – Sorry Cheques and cards not accepted.
     Regular riders may pay by standing order
     All sessions must be pre-booked

Q: Hats
A: All children must wear a riding hat approved to the current standards at all times when riding the horses or when handling young horses. Loan hats are available.

Q: Riding Times
A: There are several times during the year where Shelleen Valley EC determines that it is too dangerous for riding to take place.  At these times no-one will be allowed to ride.

  •  The period around fireworks night

  • The period around the Biggin Hill Air Show

  • Christmas and Boxing Day (vets are not available should issues arise

Q:Back Protectors
A: It is advised that all children should wear back protectors when riding to reduce the risk of injury should they fall off.  It is compulsory when jumping.
